Why do you keep doubling down on this? You’re wrong.
He’s been taught his whole life to jump on a fumble instead of trying to pick it up.
You keep saying he had all kinds of time to pick it up, but he didn’t know that. He had his back to half the field. He didn’t know where everyone was. Should he have stopped and looked around to see where everyone was so he could decide what to do?
If you’re trying to compare it last week’s scoop and score, it’s apples and oranges. Last week the ball was surrounded by BYU players and at least one of them told him to pick it up.
