From the worlds perspective, it is probably less gross. But if you are religious
then you believe revelation was the cause of polygamy. It has also been practiced biblically by many ancient prophets. It isn't acceptable in todays society.
On the other hand soaking is looked at as idiotic, strange, and laughable. But to members of the church it is clearly a violation of the law of chastity.
