Social media, in general provides an outlet for people.
Sometimes it's good and uplifting.

Sometimes it's snarky, mean, and demoralizing. 

Sometimes (often?) it's people telling the audience how awesome they are.

How we react individually is up to us.

When it's all said and done, the vast majority of us on here (and other social media outlets) are just a bunch of internet acquaintances and we shouldn't let our interactions guide or define our real-life relationships.
