Interesting CFP scenarios...
ACC:
If Miami continues to lose big to Cal that does not bode well for the ACC to get 2 teams in. Pitt is still undefeated & SMU looks decent but their hopes on getting 2 teams really fell to Miami doing well. Clemson is looking like the class of the ACC but they could also easily drop a game somewhere.

Projection: Clemson

Big 10:
USC is all but out of the playoff discussion if they lose next week at home to Penn State. Oregon & Ohio State regardless of who wins that game are probably still locks for the playoff. Michigan is all but out with their 2nd loss today as well considering I doubt they will be able to beat Ohio State this year. Indiana could compete for a playoff position as well and they have looked the part but the latter half of their schedule is much more difficult. Nebraska & Illinois are also still alive in the playoff hunt.

Projection: Ohio State, Oregon, Penn St

SEC:
Even in the SEC, I don't see any team with 3 regular season losses getting into the CFP but I still think the SEC will probably get 4 teams in. Texas A&M has the most favorable schedule & their only loss came outside of the SEC. They do play at Texas and LSU but if they go 1-1 in those games, they are probably a lock. Tennessee has looked human the last few weeks and Ole Miss always seems to lose the big games.

Projection: Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Texas A&M

Big 12:
Iowa State looks like they could run the table. They do play at Utah and get Kansas State at home the last 2 weeks but if Rising is unable to come back, Utah will continue to struggle. BYU is in a great position with a relatively easy schedule left (again especially if Rising does not come back) but BYU has to get the running game going to have any chance. I think BYU has 1-2 sure losses but they still could back their way into the conference championship game.

Projection: Iowa State

Notre Dame: Their schedule down the stretch is pretty easy with perhaps only Army & USC posing a threat. If the Irish win out they will definitely garner that last playoff spot and even if they just lose once more they still have a shot. Them making the playoff will likely come down to their last game at USC.

G5: UNLV & James Madison both lost and Boise State continues to look good. Boise at UNLV in Vegas will be interesting in a few weeks.
