As someone pointed out earlier, Norm Chow, one of BYU's best OC's was frequently
criticized by the all-knowing BYU fan base. No OC is going to call perfect games and will get stopped by good defensive play or just plain missed assignments.

How can we properly judge an OC's play calling abilities when we don't know the details and assignments of a play call, and who failed their assignments?

I think just like Retzlaff is quietly putting together some solid qb play with some people choosing to focus and magnify his mistakes, Roderick has been a solid coordinator since he has been here.

It's like some people forget that even the best players and coaches in history at BYU still had turnovers, bad throws, bad games, and bad seasons
