It's going to be interesting to see if the debate about state schools funding scholarships (and NIL) for foreign
athletes gets more momentum now.
Many are upset that a school like the U would give a tennis scholarship to a Euro. It's taxpayer money. Why are they paying for the schooling of a foreigner just so they can finish 5th in Big12 play?
Some want state schools to be banned from offering foreign athletes scholarships. They want more local kids to get the scholly. And now that NIL money is on the line, I wonder if the cry from locals gets louder?
