He has suffered the following as a result of his football career at Utah:
- A shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum
- A knee surgery due to multiple torn ligaments/meniscus
- At least one concussion
- A near decapitation by USC
- A deep finger laceration with nerve damage of unknown duration

He has led Utah to two PAC12 Championships and Rose Bowl appearances

The guy has already given enough to Utah Both in terms of performance and in terms of his health. He has always given it his all on the field. These aren’t injuries that he has faked. And no one should have ever expected him to be back on the field seven months after a major knee surgery.

So he can get his money. He should still be respected and loved by the Utah community.

But if this team wants to actually do something special this year, I think he has to be the guy.
