This is more of a generic question because our contractor has been good to work
with, but I am curious how it all works.
In this case, we had a bid but they severely underestimated how much dirt they needed to bring in to level things out in our backyard (off by probably $20k there). They ate most of it, but I was sweating because it didn’t seem like I had much leverage if push came to shove.
