Love the playing of the other school’s fight song. Free ice cream is a great gesture.

The charitable fund raising on behalf of schools we visit, and in particular, things like the amazing efforts for the K-State QB this week, are just awesome. Not harassing fans on their way to and from the stadium is also a great way to go….

I just don’t want to be weird about it—won’t name names, but a particular fan base felt like they were obviously trying, but a bit too hard on one visit. Nice gesture but didn’t feel entirely real. I could expound, but I’ll leave it at that. I don’t want us to be over the top in pursuit of outside praise for how nice we are.

We have some great traditions both as hosts and some budding traditions (fundraisers as part of alumni tailgates) as guests. Let’s stick with those, observe the golden rule in our interactions with opposing fans, and keep it fun.

And also have our team destroy the other team that takes the filed, including this weekend.
