I don't think this means he disliked BYU, I just think he overcompensated in his attempts to not be seen as a BYU homer - which caused him to successfully alienate many BYU fans who were convinced he was a Utah fan and disliked BYU.

In a segment of dropping the curtain a little, his co-host actually outed him as being very pro-BYU in texts back and forth during BYU games, etc. as well as any time he was talking to the BYU players or his ex-teammates off air.
