He did his best. He was never the right guy for a role like that. Rondo would
have been great if the BOT would have let him cook.
A few years after Hale was let go I saw him officiating girls HS basketball. Not that there is anything wrong with that but it tells you all you need to know about if he was the right guy for that kind of role. Kinda like how a number of our assistant coaches never went on to be coaches after they were fired from BYU.
