He’s inconsistent.
He forced the interception throw and it was a tad under thrown.
He climbed the pocket under pressure kept his eyes downfield and threw a laser to Lassiter for a TD
He threw a deep ball that had 2 verticals on his left side. It appeared he was throwing to the inside vertical route and tried to lead him outside. The problem with that was the outside lead jumbled up because our own players didn’t know who the throw was to. It was a bad throw and was nearly picked off. Luckily the CB dropped the ball.
He threw about as good of a pass as you can throw on the trick play and hit that deep ball to Robert’s (who also made an amazing catch) the ball was perfectly placed where only his guy could get it.
He was rolling to his right and tried to throw back across his body (he does this often and it never ends well) and missed Roberts on a 5 yard sit route badly. Stalled the drive out and a punt followed.
He pulled the ball and went around the edge several times. Once for the TD that was called back for a pancake block that the ref decided was a hold for some reason.
He did not throw into coverage and make poor reads much in the game against Wyoming. He forced it some against SMU but I feel he’s doing better in this regard.
He needs to learn to take the sack sometimes. Like the INT to the lineman against SMU. I feel like he’s learning that. He’s not in high school anymore and those forced throws don’t work out as good with D1 talent.
He is seeing the field better in the run and pass game. He finds his reads on most plays. My question is will he do it with more pressure that he will assuredly face in BIG12 play. Everything is about to speed up 20%.
Overall I like him. I also have been impressed with what I’ve seen from bohannon. I’m not sure why bohannon hasn’t been used some. I know there is the rumor that he said he didn’t want to disrupt flow. Bohannon is too good of an athlete to not use at all. I’m also not a fan of switching QBs but put him in for certain packages.
