You're talking about guy who has spent his whole life in front of a microphone and in the public eye. I think you're overthinking this one. BYU alums are gonna rally behind the guy no matter who it is. Whether it was Tanner in 2017 or Jake now, these guys who's quotes end up in the media are gonna spin it to where you focus on the positive. It's easy to see the long ball to Chase and the step up to Lassiter and come away saying Jake is making plays he didn't last year. That may or may not be level of competition and it's like you want somebody to validate its gonna happen against better teams. Time will tell, but fact remains to date, Jake hasn't eliminated mistakes and they cost us against good teams.
