This is basically what Tuiaki tried

My thoughts. Freshman QB, playing at LES at night, we have to rattle him.

I totally agree. I see Trevor's logic because Avery is a dangerous runner but I

Why don’t you agree with it? Make him one dimensional

Because he can beat us with his arm. With the receivers he has, if we don't hit

Cause a P4 starting QB can make plays if you give him all the time without press

With any QB with a decent arm, they’ll pick you apart with that strategy.

Mix it up and try and keep him guessing and see what's effective, then adjust

At this point he has shown to be a better runner than he is a passer. BYU's pass coverage has been good.

Pretty common strategy vs a dynamic running QB

Worked really really well in certain games. Problem is he ALWAYS did it

Yeah, it worked against Slovis & USC.

Not really. He used 3 people. You can't seal any gaps with 3 people and

His legs are more dangerous than his arm at this point

I'd love to bottle up his running, but still get a coverage sack or two in the first half just to let him meet Batty.

I agree. Getting pressure with 3 or 4 guys will be key.

Isn’t that what we tried to do with the SMU and the Wyoming QB’s

No on SMU. Yes on Wyoming.

That was Michigan's plan against Bama and Milroe.

They definitely have to maintain rushing lanes.

Sounds like our strategy over past decade, which hasn’t seemed to work

Unless you have a linebacker that has enough speed to spy

Might need a DB to play spy - LB won't be fast enough.

Use the SMU game plan. Jack Kelly is perfect as a QB spy.
