I know you will argue that in the last 20 years BYU hasn't had superiority like it had the previous 20 years, at least over UU, and you would be right. I think where all the vitriol from the likes of UU comes from is that even though your team has been better over the last 20 years, you haven't, and most likely never will, reach the national championship. Even though UU has been really good a few years and maybe even oh so close to the playoff etc, they just can't get to the pinnacle of the sport. And that is what makes U so mad. The other old conference mates, WYO, SDSU, etc haven't even had better teams during our down years and so their hatred just continues to simmer as they know they aren't even close to reaching the levels BYU has.
