Ohhh I didn't catch that Soupie was talking about basements specifically...
She must have unintentionally left that word out of her post.
A quick Google search seems to say that nearly every state requires basement square footage to be included as long as it's a livable space. So I don't think this really skews the data in a significant way (obviously has an impact but seems to be small / immaterial)
