Comfortably is personal tolerance, But I would say $100 + 15K per child
If a childless couple lives in a 2Br/1.5Ba House/Condo. . . $100K base would be good.
You may not get the house or neighborhood you want, but $100 + $15 per child will definitely be comfortable enough.
