despite losing record, in decent shape for now for an NCAA at-large bid. NCAA
hasn't started releasing RPI yet, but Massey's computer formula has BYU at 27 for now:

Big 12 is a good but not elite conference - no top 20 teams as of now, but 7 teams in the Massey's top 40.

But what that for now means is that for BYU to stay in contention for an at-large bid then they need to start getting mostly wins in conference play. Which is doable, but these will be a lot of game against teams that are like the Long Beach St., Boise St., St. Louis type of level of teams, and BYU is 1-1-1 against those 3 teams so far in the non-conference.

Need to stay in the thirties of RPI to be on the right side of the bubble.

If BYU finishes conference play around .500, I believe they would slide off the bubble and not make the NCAA tournament.

A healthy Fryer was a great sign. A healthy Bailey is a great sign, although it looked like her minutes were really limited as she makes her way back from mono. Perhaps Abbi Sine would progress enough to be an impact player for us in conference play?
