Holker left and then played lights-out at CO State. It should have happened at BYU, and it is on our coaches that it didn't. He wouldn't be in the NFL as a second string TE if he had stayed at BYU. We failed him, he didn't fail us. And he left in the middle of the season so that he would have only played 4 games and could count it as a redshirt year.
Hopefully ARod can figure out how to play the best talent at TE and actually get the TE involved in the pass game.
TE should be that safety blanket, the possession / 3rd-down-conversion-machine receiver. It used to be this way for BYU... may we make it so again!
