just got back from the mechanic, now NOT buying a 2006 Camry V6 XLE with 129k
Coolant leak
Axles leaking
Power steering leak
Although timing belt replaced, 12 years ago, apparently they get brittle over time
Original struts and shocks worn
Front lower control arm bushings shot (probably due to heavier V6)

Any one of those thing I'd probably absorb, but not all of them. When I picked up the car the guy told me that his phone blew up overnight with interest, I contacted him within 5 minutes of his Craigslist posting and looked at it in the dark last night. I got it washed before taking it to the mechanic, and the car wash guy was interested in buying it from me since the for sale sign was still in the window. Too bad, it's a very nice car aesthetically, but not under the hood.

I'll ask the guy if he wants to know the reason I'm walking away or if he'd prefer to not have knowledge.
