One thing I've seen with retiring - people seem to die really soon afterward.
Ideally I want to retire late 50's but I love my job and could probably do it forever. It's pretty low stress (for me) but fun and I enjoy interacting with the kids.

I'll probably take a break at 60 to hopefully catch the tail end of my wife's health, and then work again to supplement
