Animals cycle in populations. You’re not seeing an increase in numbers because of a lack of coyotes, you’re seeing them
reach their peak cycle.
Anyone that has hunted rabbits knows this.
Don’t worry, within the next couple of years they’ll pass diseases amongst themselves and most will die. The cycle will start over.

Yup, we had peak mice a few years ago. One day I counted over 95 carcasses on my commute to work, I killed 4 or 5 more

I keep an eye on upland bird cycles. This fall could be a really good one for bird hunters.
