there is a lag time between matriculating students and needing clinical spots for them, a lag of 2+ years. BYU could ramp up to teach the pre-clinical curriculum for medical students very rapidly. So accepting students soon (2 years, maybe? Entering class of 2026, graduate first class in 2030?) is not out of the realm of possibility. This gives Intermountain time to figure out how to fit 3rd and 4th year students into its hospitals. I would guess that Utah Valley will be a big part of this (50-60% of spots), but other Intermountain hospitals and clinics will also get students. Spanish Fork Hospital will be a busy hospital by then, and American Fork Hospital could take students today if they wanted to. Also Primary Children's Lehi, Riverton, Alta View in Sandy, Heber Valley, and Park City. Hopefully Intermountain Medical Center in Murray and the original Primary Children's will also be hospitals that will be open to BYU medical students.
