Great insights. I relate to your thoughts as well. I knew less about ADHD
Penn’s ADHD is VERY different from a lot of others’ including mine. I’ve never been diagnosed, but definitely have some of the inattentive tendencies as well. While I don’t personally relate to all of Penn’s experiences, I relate to some and some of my kids relate to others, so I had quite a few takeaways when considering how to help out both self and others. I should also mention that I am a high school teacher, so I interact many kids with various manifestations of ADHD on the daily. So the book did help me think about how to meet them where they’re at a little better.

Admittedly, I started listing to the book about halfway through when they started discussing some of the systems you can put in place and things you can do to help with some of the negative characteristics or situations that come from ADHD. That was honestly what I found most insightful for my tendencies, which also are inattentive (not diagnosed). I went through and listened to the first half later, and I enjoyed it as well, but not necessarily as helpful.
