but to a lesser extent. Grimes may not have been a fantastic coordinator, but he was fantastic with the OL which can make or break an offense. After Grimes' influence has died out, things have gotten worse. In other words, I think there's some who feel like the lingering influence of Grimes' discipline and OL covered up ARod's mistakes and made him look better than he is. That being said, since the OL can make or break an offense it could be said that Funk was bringing down ARod and making him look worse than he is. I think that's where the perception came about.
