access to the river for water. The last mile or two of the hike is brutal coming up the switchbacks, so water is essential.
Hiking in everyone had extra water left when we got to camp.
Once there, take a day hike downstream to Mooney Falls and Beaver falls. To get down to Mooney Falls you have to climb down some slick wood ladders with chains for grip. Bring garden gloves with rubber fingers/palms to help with grip climbing down.
With each of the falls, there are multiple small waterfall ledges (3-5 ft.) that are fun to jump off of and then swim around.
