Does the average American think they’re watching in 4k when they buy a “4k TV”?
The amount of marketing and advertising spent on mentioning 4k tvs is incredible when you think about the lack of actual 4k content and then the ability to even access or watch that content (usually paying for a higher level subscription and having the right technology to allow you to stream that level of resolution).

I love 4k on my LG OLED. It’s incredible and worth it to me to pay extra for YTTV 4k during football season. But I imagine the average American thinks they’re watching 4k when they buy their $250 prime deal tv. I wish 4k was the standard broadcast resolution just as it’s been the mainstay marketing term for the past decade.

Sorry for my random musing of the day.
