In Gundy’s rambling defense of his decision, he made a couple of references
to NIL. He said, in part:
“Because of collectives, these guys that are playing college football are employees, whether you like it or not,” he said. “There’s large sums of money involved. That’s the way it’s gonna be going forward.“
I’m inferring that he was afraid, or has been informed, that Gordon would transfer if sanctions were imposed.
