This is insane. It really isn’t that hard. Why is ESPN “lying” about Bronny? Why is ESPN hyping him up?
Summer League is broadcasted on ESPN. These posts are literal advertisements.

“Hey, the son of famous basketball player LeBron James is really good! Watch him on ESPN next week!” Hmmmmmm, what is ESPN hiding! Why would they deceive and lie like that!

You know this movie trailers that say “critics are raving about this movie!” It’s the same thing. It isn’t some big political conspiracy about ESPN lying to the public.

In the ESPN article you’re saying says how great he was? Here are some quotes:

“Quiet.”
“James and fellow rookie Knecht struggled from the field.”
“Uneventful.”

Wow! They sure talked him up.

ESPN (and every other news media outlet) post about Bronny because he gets clicks. The end. We’re in the middle of the summer. The Olympics haven’t started. USA got bounced from Copa America. The actual summer league hasn’t even started yet. There’s literally nothing on. Of course ESPN is posting about Bronny. There’s nothing else to post about. That, along with Summer League being broadcasted on ESPN, is why they’re posting about Bronny.

Finally, the 55th pick would not be the story of the draft, ever. A team could take Santa at pick 55 and it wouldn’t be the story of the draft.

Maybe I’m wrong and I missed all the discussion about Josh Minott last year? You know, the guy who averaged 6/4/1 in his one college season at Memphis who went 44th overall.

It’s weird, his stats are comparable to Bronny (5/3/2), but there isn’t a single post about him on Cougarboard, even though he went ten picks higher in the draft. Seems like he should be the story of the draft, right?
