The Wall Street Journal ranked all the National Parks, and here is their Top 10:
1. Isle Royale, Michigan
2. North Cascades, Washington
3. Sequoia & Kings Canyon, California
4. Big Bend, Texas
5. Denali, Alaska
6. Lassen Volcanic, California
7. Great Basin, Nevada
8. Death Valley, California
9. Guadalupe Mountains, Texas
10. Yellowstone, Wyoming
I’ve been to half of the Top 10. I guess it’s actually a top eleven, since #3 includes two adjacent parks. They factored in heavily how crowded the parks are, which hurt the ranking of many popular parks, like Zion (which came in a #53), the Grand Canyon (#30), and Yosemite (#19).
The highest-ranked Utah park is Canyonlands at #16, followed by Capitol Reef (#33), Bryce (#52), Zion, and Arches (#55).
