Each summer when the kids are out of school we have tried to do a foreign vacation, usually in the 15-18 day range and we usually see a few countries. For 2025 the kids really, really want to go to Japan so that’s the plan.
We have 1 kid who really also wants to go to South Korea. I know essentially nothing about Seoul or anything to do in S Korea so I’m asking CBers for advice….
1. Reduce time in Japan by a couple of days to spend a few days in Sourh Korea?
2. Does S Korea need more than a few days - and we should do that in a different trip at some point in the future? If so, how long would be an appropriate time to plan for SK?
3. Is S Korea for tourists largely about Seoul or would we really want to get out of the big city to explore other places? (That’s how we felt it was in Thailand and Vietnam - a few days in the big cities were enough and we were glad to get out and experience other parts)
Appreciate any opinions!
