Yea it’s a nuanced topic. I got my vaccine the second I could. I was 100%
Pro-vaccine during that early wave where Covid was more horrific than most here realize. I still think the vaccine at that time was a miracle.

But it did get to a point where it became a whole lot less clear if young adults and kids truly needed the vaccine (as well as adults in recent years). Granted the myocarditis link was less clear but so was a lot of the beneficial data as well for that low risk demographic

The arguments then morphed into trying to limit transmission for the at-risk population (obviously the school closure and kid vaccine stuff) but in my opinion it became truly intellectually dishonest. Now you could argue what were their true intentions and maybe they felt it was still best for society at large but I felt like people saw through that on the individual risk level for their kids.

For example of the 5-10 young adults who got the vaccine related myocarditis that I saw not one of them wanted to get the vaccine but were forced to via army, school, work, etc. again that form of myocarditis typically turned out benign but we didn’t really know that at the time.

Now granted I think it came out the vaccine was basically harmless for kids too but in those early stages we didn’t totally know that either.

Regardless it resulted in the politicalization of medicine that has lingering and lasting effects

Long rant.. bored on call with nothing to do
