Right, and all those rates, while low, are much higher than South Korea’s. Their
fertility rate would have to almost double to get to Japan’s level, and almost triple to get to the level of the US. To get back to replacement, it would need to more-than-triple.
They are an outlier, even in a rich world with generally low fertility rates.
