He's not saving the money, remodeling the basement will cost him more than
buying a bigger home would have. Sure, I could fix up the current home but it's just going to cost a lot more and still won't be bigger. I think that's the lament. It was mine too and I spent way too much money remodeling my home. Only to sell it and move again
