That is true. Housing here in Utah is out of hand and makes it very tough for a

new seminary teacher to afford housing.

Seminaries and institutes (S&I) provide a lot of opportunities to increase salaries but that is not immediate and at least takes 3-5 years in the program to get those increases.

I got my PhD and every possible increase I could so we were comfortable in our years of employment.
