I concur. I had 6 weeks vacation, over a year of sick time accumulated when I
retired. Now I'm working in private sector. I love the more pay, the more responsibility (I was in accounting and it was like we had people who just dotted i's and cross t's) of having the whole gambit of duties. I love not wearing a suit (I retired pre-Covid and I don't know that many have returned back from WFH) and I loved for a few years being closer to home and work

But, I've retired with DMBA (Church insurance) and it's top-notch, and I can't seem to get beyond 2 weeks of vacation and that's a little tough at this juncture. Honestly, if I had it to do over, I might have stayed with the Church employment. It's really hard to make that decision, because the money outside has been real nice. If you had a top director level job or there about, yes, you couldn't hardly beat being a Church employee.
