We aren't blaming the defense as much because changes were made there, it will
take time to see results. We saw hints of improvement.
Offense was a problem and not enough changes were made. There are no signs of improvements.

Retzlaff gets the blame for last 4 games, but you won't win giving up 38 points

When your entire team stinks, the blame starts to point to one person

I believe the thought is the previous defensive staff left little talent behind to work with.

Both sides of the ball had weak lines and I don’t see any improvement

The offensive line was much better at run blocking in the final few games

Coach Hill was in his first year, following a staff that recruited poorly.

I don't blame him for the game results any more than anyone else on the roster

Who isn't blaming both sides of the ball on the losses last year? The issue is..

Turnovers were a big cause in the losses. A bunch of those came close to our own endzone too. 🙁

I'll add that not all of the turnovers were Retzlaff's fault.

Retzlaff was only a Soph and thrown into BYU's toughest stretch so I'll hold off on condemning him and branding him as a

Well when you don’t have an O line that can block and an uncoordinated and disjointed offense

always a team effort, but throwing a pick six at 1st and goal at the 2 is very hard to erase in fans' minds.

While true, Retzlaff alone shoulders the blame for the Oklahoma loss

Playing from behind forces you to throw more. Defense lacked depth.

QBR was in the 30's and 40's, not good enough to win. Plus defense was improved

The two seasons are very difficult to compare. First, our offense was OK in 2022
