I think far too much blame has been put on Retzlaff. The overall team struggled the last several games because they lost so many games and the physicality of playing so many P5s in a row is a grind, especially when you are thin at spots with no real answers for what certain teams are doing to you. The team should be better prepared for it this year, Jake included. It is mentally difficult to play at a high level consistently, especially against a bunch of solid teams.
Most teams will have identified your weaknesses and have you well scouted by midyear, so you aren't going to be surprising anyone going into the final stretch of the season.
