This is an honest/real response-As the dog owner, being abit irritated is normal
...It's basic human nature for adults to be somewhat initially resistant whenever someone else points out one of our mistakes, etc

But your description of (what dog owner should do) keeping your thoughts/resistance completely to self and being 100% gracious and corrective, in your outward response, is precisely what should happen in this scenario.
