here have played against some D1 girls basketball players when they were in college and they could beat them. Those were young men who played varsity basketball and were likely at their peak athletically. I played against a woman who tried out for the WNBA 20 years ago and didn't make it. She played with me and a bunch of guys who many were current and former college bball players and she held her own in many ways. Granted they were just pick up games but she had skill and was athletic. These are the best women players on the planet playing against some JV kids. The skill level of many JV kids varies a lot and they don't have a ton of size or athleticism yet. JV rosters are filled with 9th and 10th graders and some 11th graders who if they are really good are playing varsity. I am by no means a women's sports apologist but there is no way JV teams beat the women's national team.
