Him: "No, we are super excited to join another conference of our academic standing. The ACC is great and we are excited to join."

Me: "Really? You don't think joining an athletic conference on the East Coast will be a problem for students or alumni, or rivalries or travel? Not to mention you aren't getting any money and the conference is ready to collapse the second FSU figures out how to get out??"

Him: "No, the ACC is super strong. We have enough money to cover the cost of not being a full member for a few years and I am really looking forward to visiting Clemson and Duke and North Carolina, it is going to be great!"

Me: ":( , Wouldn't it make more sense to join the Moutain West or have the Mt. West members join the Pac-12?"

Him: "No, we are way above them in everything."
