are there certain ones to avoid? It sounds like this person had a problem with Expedia, but I wanted to know if there were others that were significantly bad. At my destination I'm likely to pick out a specific hotel and book directly, but if we're en route (we don't really care which hotel or even which city, we just want a place to stay for the night sometime in the next hour so so) and don't want to manually search, what is your go-to? Do you ever use those third-party sites to explore options then book directly?
