RE: Here’s my reality
IMO, this is about as realistic of a post as you’re gonna get. Confidence levels in Sitake and Arod should not be very high, while Hill is currently looking like the star of the staff.

Take it for what it’s worth, but I live up north and have ties to the Weber St program. There is more than one member of the athletic dept that will tell you Hill didn’t leave Weber to become BYU’s DC in an attempt to prove himself in hopes of landing a D1 HC gig somewhere. He took the gig with the idea of being BYU’s HC should things go south for Sitake in the B12.

I don’t think Hill has come out and said that directly to anybody, but the feeling is that it was inferred. While I do think Hill is genuinely supportive of Sitake and isn’t looking to put a knife in his back, Hill is an extremely smart guy. He knows he’s not getting a sniff as Utah’s HC when Whitt retires as they already have a succession plan in place and it didn’t take a genius to forecast that KS might hit some rough waters early on in B12 life.
