I don't make the rules. Eat better and move more. Your life will improve in many ways. Yeah, it really will. And yes, I'm gonna keep telling people. Man, if that makes your blood boil, just block me. I really am that guy who cheers people on when they're struggling. Not gonna change.
Well, how do you know, mister big shot? Are you a doctor? A PhD? Nah. I eat better and I move more. In my experience, it works. I've seen it work for other people, too. Oh, and my doctors think it's the right way to go. And I read a little.
Well, you just don't understand what you're asking people to do! You're probably twenty-something and super fit and never experienced any health problems. Did you notice I said I have "doctors"? Yup, multiple docs for multiple health issues - some are significant. Life's hard. I get it. Again, I didn't make the rules. Lift heavy stuff if ya can, run if ya can, do other physical stuff if ya can - life will be better. Yeah, consult your docs first.
Well, those pills are just soooooo much easier! Let's get real. Ready? Those people who tell you to skip the benefits that come from doing hard things? They're not your friends. They really aren't. Do the hard stuff, man! Listen, everything has a price. Everything! Part - only part - of the price for improving health is moving more and eating better. I don't have to tell you the price for not moving more and eating better, right? You've seen it. Maybe you've felt it. Alright, I'll tell ya anyway. Weakness. Chronic illness. Stress. Disability. Immobility. Medical bills. Unhappiness. Oh, and premature death. Let's not overlook that small consideration.
Hey, ya jerk, some people need that pill!!! Well yeah, I said some people need it. Didn't read my post, did ya? And some people who need it apparently can't get it because everyone else is taking it. That's a good situation? I'm gonna be bold and say, "No. That ain't good."
Alright, I got work to do. This has been informative and kinda fun in unexpected ways. But not nearly fun enough to keep reading a bunch of cranky comments from people who didn't actually read my post. Another secret (I don't know all that many, but I do know a few) to happiness is blocking out nastiness from anonymous strangers who know nothin' about me.
If ya gotta take pills 'cause you've got no better alternative (I have to - just not this stuff), I support you. 100%. If you're tackling the challenge of improving your health without pills because you can, I'm with ya. 100%. Really. I'm doin' it, too.
Flame away, Cougarboard! Ha ha! I can take it. I'm far more concerned that some people will listen to those voices that whisper that the easiest road is always the best road, and that there are no tolls to be paid along that track.
