While on my mission on Germany, I applied to (and was accepted by) all three service academies. And my final area happened to be by a US Army base, with military making up the vast majority of the members.

So I asked them which academy I should go to, and they (being Army officers and enlisted) were really excited about me going to USMA. But then 10-12 of them (including multiple USMA grads) took me aside privately and told me in effect "I'll deny it if you ever tell anyone I said this, but 100% you should go Air Force. Even USNA is better than USMA, but Air Force is easily the best choice".

You'll hear a lot of talk from USMA grads about how much better it is...but they're mostly trying to convince themselves because they know deep down it isn't
