You don’t respect a man who can potentially make half a million trying to make that half million? If I offered you that
to go to a different school at his age you wouldn’t have?
This dude isn’t getting paid in the NBA. If he can make significant money now, it’s a good move for him, and I don’t blame him.
Half a million at that age, used wisely, will change the rest of his life.
The sooner you think of these guys as professionals athletes (the ones who can really get paid are now) the easier this will be for you. And his career is limited by NCAA eligibility.
He needs to get paid if he can.
