Essentially gives playoff berths every year for the American and the P12/MWC hybrid, and in exchange, it opens up four additional at-large for the B1G/SEC consortium to get more teams in.

16 gets rid of the byes. 12 is best. Id rather 24 with 8 byes than 16.
