Take a TGV down to Provence and the French Riviera

Both of these options are way cooler than Paris IMHO.

You could go to Les Calanques (look it up... they are incredible), Chateau D'if, Aix en Provence (my favorite city in the world), Grotto at St. Baume, and then of course Monaco (casino and many other incredible things).

Versailles is a great day trip. Easy train ride from Paris. I'd rent a car to go to Normandy and Mont Saint-Michel
