You could ask this question about any team. What sets Utah apart? What sets AZ apart? What sets TCU apart? In an arms
Race, all these schools look pretty similar.
The only different variables seem to be current program momentum and current coaches.
None of these schools are getting 5* recruits. All mid-tier programs are nearly the same.
Too often, unique aspects of BYU are seen as barriers.
But, I think BYU has plenty to offer that sets it apart from the rest in a good way. BYU will continue to hang and be in the mix with the rest.
