I've been on compounded Semaglutide for two months.

Background:  I am T2 diabetic for two years when my A1C jumped to 10.  Through diet and Metformin I was able to drop it to 5.6 in 6 months but could not sustain the low-carb diet and it has climbed to 6.1.  Because my A1C is "relatively" (by insurance standards) under control, SelectHealth won't cover it.

My NP sends to prescription to Red Rocks Pharmacy in Springville and it costs $206 per month.  I am down 16 pounds and only want to lose 30-35 pounds.  The first month I misread the script and took .54mg (25 units) instead of .27mg (12.5 units).  I was pretty nauseous most of that month.  My NP sent a new script for month 2 of .54mg which is what I've been on this month.  I received my next shipment from Red Rocks yesterday before my NP could up the dosage but I have some leftover from the prior shipment that I'll use to bump up my shots this month.

The second month I was really only nauseous for 2-3 days after taking the shot.  My appetite is down and I'm eating nowhere near what I used to eat.  I think that I'll hit 30-35 pounds within 6 months and then I can go on maintenance.
